I'm Back, with Cottage Pie!!!

Hello every one!

I'm back! Sorry for taking so long to come back to put up new recipes - I've been busy with school work and other stuff!
I have a new recipe for you today. Yesterday I made a lovely Cottage Pie for dinner, and every one loved it. So I'm putting it up one here:

                           WillowUnicorn's Cottage Pie.

Eight Onions
Ten small carrots
1kg of Mince, preferably beef, but pork will do.
5 tomatoes
One ladle full of beef stock
Pinch of salt
Ten medium potatoes
milk
butter

Chop up the onions and put them it a big-ish pot. Add some cooking Lard/Tallow to the pot, and let it heat up, mixing it now and then to stop the onions from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Chop the carrots in half, then slice them to look like half circles. Add them to the pot.
Take the mince, and put it into the pot. Mix the mince, onions and carrots together. Put in the salt.
Chop the tomatoes up and add them to the pot. Take the stock and add it to the pot. Mix it up, and put it on a low heat. Stir every now and then, and leave the lid off.
Once the meat is cooked, or (if you are waiting for some one to get home) once it is time for dinner soon, bring a pot of of water to the boil. Whilst you are waiting for it to boil, wash the potatoes and chop them into thin slices, leaving the skin on them. When the water is boiling add them to the water, and let them cook until you are able to spear them on a fork.
Drain the water from the potatoes, and put the oven on 180 degrees Celsius. Put the potatoes back in the pot, and add a splash of milk and a wad of butter. Mash it into the potatoes. I like creamy mashed potatoes, so if it isn't creamy enough I add more milk.
Spoon the Mince mix into a large tray with tall sides. Place dollops of the Mash onto the Mince mix and spread it around with the fork. Continue doing that until the Mince mix is covered by the Mash (if you have left over Mash, you can either add it to the tray or use it for something else. My Brothers ate the left over mash).
Cook for five minutes in the oven.

Please let me know if you make it, and if you add anything, like spices! I love to see knew recipes.

See you later!
